Data & Reports

We monitor and report data on nearly 100 variables that serve as indicators for measuring wait times, procedure safety and effectiveness, clinical processes and patient outcomes.

Disease statistics

  • Age-standardized prevalence rate (%) of cardiovascular disease in BC and health authorities
  • Age-standardized mortality rate per 10,000 population from cardiovascular disease in BC and health authorities
  • Prevalence (%) of selected cardiovascular disease-related risk factors by resident health authority (2011/12) compared to the Canadian average

System statistics

  • Cardiac services, number of procedures, 2008/09 to 2014/15
  • Risk-adjusted, 30-day and one-year mortality rates following PCI and cardiac surgery in British Columbia, 2007-2011
  • Risk-adjusted 30-day mortality after isolated CABG, 2009-2013
  • Indication for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) by hospital 2011-2013
  • 30-day transfusion rates, CABG/valve surgery 2009-2013
